The FRB North Tower is a wind turbine located off the coast of Scotland in the North Sea. It is part of the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm, which consists of 84 turbines and has a total capacity of 588 MW. The FRB North Tower is one of the tallest turbines in the world, with a height of 207 meters (679 feet) from sea level to blade tip.
The wind farm is operated by a consortium made up of SSE Renewables, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, and Red Rock Power Limited. The project was completed in 2019 and is expected to produce enough renewable energy to power around 450,000 homes per year.
